Thawron Wiratchant won the 2012 Hero Indian Open

Thawron Wiratchant of Thailand has won 2012 Hero Indian Open by beating Scottish golfer Richie Ramsay in play-offs. He scored 69, 68, 67 and 66 in first, second, third and fourth round of the competition. This is his 16th professional win and 15th on Asian Tour. He also won $198,125 as prize money.

Hero Indian Open is a top golf tournament played in India. It is the part of the Asian Tour. Hero Indian Open 2012 will be starting from October 18. It will be the 49th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be played at Bangalore, Karnataka. The prize money of the tournament is US $1.25 million. Top players of Asia Tour will participate in this tournament.
