Thawron Wiratchant won the 2012 Hero Indian Open

Thawron Wiratchant of Thailand has won 2012 Hero Indian Open by beating Scottish golfer Richie Ramsay in play-offs. He scored 69, 68, 67 and 66 in first, second, third and fourth round of the competition. This is his 16th professional win and 15th on Asian Tour. He also won $198,125 as prize money.

2012 Hero Indian Open is all set to thrill you.

Hero Indian Open is a top golf tournament played in India. It is the part of the Asian Tour. Hero Indian Open 2012 will be starting from October 18. It will be the 49th edition of the tournament. The tournament will be played at Bangalore, Karnataka. The prize money of the tournament is US $1.25 million. Top players of Asia Tour will participate in this tournament. All the eyes will be on Gaganjeet Bhullar who has won two different tournaments on Asian Tour this year. He is in fine form and has recently won the Venetian Macau Open. He will be receiving a good competition from Thailand golf player Thawron Wiratchant.

The winners of the previous years tournaments David Gleeson, Digvijay Singh, Anirban Lahiri, Himmat Rai, Scott Hend, Mardan Mamat, Joonas Granberg, Berry Henson, Shiv Chowrasia, Pariya Junhasavasdikul and Angelo Que will also be the part of the competition. Other two notable Indian names Chirag Kumar and Jyoti Randhawa are also playing in this tournament.
